Has anyone used a blend mount radar detector mount in there TH? I have a valentine one radar detector and want to hardwire it and use a blend mount when my new TH arrives. Please advise.

Just talk to the support team at blendmount. I am getting ready to put a blendmount for an escort in my TH and the wifes SRT. They confirmed the correct mount and wiring kit and were great to work with. I used other blendmounts in previous vehicles and had no issues.

Did you get the 2000r barmount? Also, what length power cord did you get for the radar, a 10” or 15”?

Blendmount support stated to use the BBE-2000R and I choose the MTX-1015 (15" cord) kit. Since I am going to buy two mounts, I am going with just one 15" kit first and see how it fits. If 15" is too long then I will just order two 10" kits.

I installed a blend mount for my 9500ix. It looks like a factory install. I would like to know how to remove the plastic around the rain sensors. Where do you plug in to run the wire tap?

Well I finished this up. The windshield sensor covers are removed easily. I found one of the sensors to have a ground and ignition wire so I inserted the wire taps. I ran the wire between the 2 pieces that cover the sensors. It comes on with ignition and works perfectly. I run a blend mount in all my vehicles and transfer the detector when I switch vehicles. Only takes seconds.
