AutoGuide has listed 10 cars that the Jeep Track Hawk will be able to beat in a drag race. Some of them are a bit surprising. Take a look at the list here, and I have put a link to the full write up at the end of this post.

Oh, and just to let you know, the Jeep Track Hawk can go from o-60 mph in 3.5 seconds. Listed beside each vehicle on the list is its 0-60 mph time.

Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 - 3.9 seconds
Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 - 3.9 seconds
Porsche Cayenee Turbo S - 3.8 seconds
Audi R8 V10 - 3.8 seconds
Lotus Exige S Roadster - 3.8 seconds
Chevrolet Corvette Stingray - 3.7 seconds
Cadillac CTS-V Sedan - 3.7 seconds
Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT - 3.6 seconds

I don't know about this... Theres a WHOLE lot more to drag racing then 0-60 times... Air resistance squares with speed I believe, so the TH GC might get to 60 quick but once its there it becomes far more difficult to push its brick shape through the air then say a camaro...

Are you saying that it won't have as high a top speed, or that it will use more fuel? I agree its not very aerodynamic, but that would just affect things like top speed and acceleration, which is accounted for here.

But isn't the 0-60 times representative of acceleration. Acceleration is change in speed over time. That's exactly what these times are measuring. Over a different distance you might get different results, but other than that.

Yup, that's exactly it and a specific way to look at it, even when it comes to just ground covered instead of time like 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile.

By the time you get to 60 your already at the next light that's all that matters on the street right? Who has time to go to the track?

Even more of an excuse for getting a tune and some other performance mods from a brand like Hennessey performance, however on the street not everyone is good at putting all the power to the ground, so you could win from a combination of just power and skills vs their 10% better power but lack of skills.
