The front grills and lower vents bother me because they do not match anything else on the entire vehicle. Now that I started studying the rest of the vehicle I notice other pieces that do not seem to match the rest of the vehicle. Many have done the grill rings and lower vents in gloss black. I wish I could find them already done. The roof rails also bother me because they are not gloss black. Has anyone painted these to match the gloss black color. If so, what is the color code that matches the rest of the front grill? I would probably do all other black plastic components.

My roof rails seem to match. they do have a texture finish to them but looks correct.
the paint color will be easy for any body shop you goto.I was gonna have them pop the rings out and just come back a few days latter when done. but buying a trade in set would be cool.

I really like the black rings. I wonder why they’re not black to begin with.
I posted this on another thread but thought I would throw my 2 cents in here as well...

Simple answer is that FCA wanted a unique color not available on other trims. Its good for marketing, especially when they named the color "Liquid Titanium".

They did also match it to some of the emblems, including the TrackHawk emblem in the back.

Personally I like the color they chose. At least in contrast to the color of my TrackHawk anyway. I thought about going with the black ones but I liked the copper tone against the Blue body, in fact, I liked it so much I had the wheels painted to match.

On our 2015 SRT, I replaced the grill rings with the black version, looked better with the stark contrast against the white Jeep.

So bottom line, its all opinion, and even then, opinion may change depending on the vehicle color and other accessories / themes.

Yours look good. My TH is white, thus why I’m contemplating this mod. The smartest move for FCA would’ve been to offer as an option, what color we wanted for an upcharge.

Agreed, though probably not cost effective, I doubt many outside the forums change much from factory.

But agree 100%, if mine was white, I would have changed the rings to black day 1 as I did on our 2015 SRT!

I think I am going to get the grill surround painted body color and then paint all the grill rings and all the mesh in gloss black. I understand some like the sinister look of all black grill, but the monochromatic look will set it apart from the crowd. Unfortunately my small town has imported 3 brand new (yeah right) 2018s to sale, and one is my color.

what color is yours? If white I will be very interested in seeing what it looks like. I normally prefer black with white cars, but way way back in the day all white was in style on European cars and I liked it.
besides being different is always a plus. please post pictures when done.

They bothered me too so I had them painted gloss black. I also had the rear Jeep emblem removed.

Hey buddy, I brought my TH to a body shop for this exact thing. But they advised they would only be able to do this by removing the entire front bumper and we both didn’t feel comfortable with that. How were you able to get the squares and fog light vents black? Did they have to remove your front bumper? Thanks!!
