Hi,
I am wondering how many have had this happen? The rubber intake boot turning almost white? May local dealer replaced it but I wonder if it will happen again along with the cause.

Mine isn't that white...yet. But I had a '15 SRT Jeep that started bleaching like that, and my '18 TH is also lighter too. I figure I just need to use some engine dressing on it to bring back the black. :)

It’s just part of the rubber leaching out. It’ll probably happen again. I was able to knock mine down with a damp cloth.

Mine is doing same exact thing. Unless they have changed the composition of the rubber I bet it will do again.

I encountered the same issue on an older STI. From what I remember its just oxidization and nothing to worry about. If you clean the hose frequently you can keep on top of it.
