i really need to comb these forums more often. yes, installed the blend mount and it worked great. I also hard wired my Uniden R3 into the rear view which wasn't too hard and I think it looks great (there's also a hard wired BlackVue DS900 2 chan dash cam too). HTH!Has anyone installed a blend mount radar detector mount on there TH yet? I have a Valentine One and I want to install a blend mount for it when my new TH arrives.
Check your state to see if its radar friendly... most states are I think. That looks super clean! I'm seriously considering the Valentine1 - but afraid that if I do get pulled over it guarantees a ticket and might encourage one to pop me even at only 10 over if they happen to see it.
Do you think the Valentine One is effective? I’ve got one that I haven’t used in ages, like probably 6 years or so, but I pulled it out of the junk drawer to use for a road trip this past week. What a POS it is, the thing never stopped chirping...ever. It ended up in the glove box in less than 20 minutes time. I’ll never use it again.
It’s even slicker without it though since it’s totally useless, unless you enjoy the constant chirping that is. It’s so bad I don’t get how they’re still in business.I really struggled when buying my detector this year. I love the options with the V1 as I really wanted a remote install with the face plate somewhere more inconspicuous. But everything I read is that the V1 hasn't kept up with the market - unless you run the phone app to augment the functions and fine tune it. After a bunch of research and debate, I ended up with the Uniden R3 and a Blendmount. Very happy with it, just wish I could do a more hidden install, it's SUPER slick when guys have the V1 display mounted inside the rear view mirror.
you can get them updated now from V1 to knock off all the noise and over indicating of K band. I just have mine in line of shight when driving no volume at all. I just watch for the KA light. The thing has never failed me in 6 years its on point. I can sniff out a cop as far as 3 miles out if its straight.Do you think the Valentine One is effective? Yea i dont care about updating mine it works fine all i usually do is watch for the KA i just put like a dark piece of tape over the face so nobody can piggyback off you if its in line of sight. Like i said volume off its easy never ever had a problem with it.you can get them updated now from V1 to knock off all the noise and over indicating of K band. x bandi have seen like 2 or three times max. Lazer 1 time. K is the biggest since thats whats tied to almost everything. Ka at least here in cali is the big one.If I remember correctly, they want like around $250 to update it. At this point, you are better off buying a new one. I bought the 360 and it works really well.

Look on youtube and you can bypass the X band on your detector which is what I did and use it on my Hummer. I am replacing the Hummer with the TH so I might be inclined to buy a newer detector lol
