Burnt rubber smell

Does anybody even get a burnt rubber smell coming out of ac vents under hard acceleration? I’m not talking about launching. I mean you roll into wide open throttle while already doing 10-20mph.

I’m thinking it’s belt slipping but not 100% sure.

I did for the first time yesterday when I was cruising on the freeway and punched it. It downshifted and pulled fine. A few seconds later I had that burnt rubber smell and the first thing I thought of is the belt must be slipping.
Yep... check the belt(s).
I get a a vinegar smell when I step on it hard. I'm totally serious, the smell does remind me of vinegar.
Could be a belt or maybe one of your hoses has gotten a bit loose and is resting on something hot.

you get the smell after slowing the vehicle down and during acceleration Both lead to the breaks because they got hots and the fumes/dust carry through to the intake and blow in the cab, my challenger does it too, it’s because the brembo calipers and disks have slight contact from time to time due to stm, yaw, and tc programmed in to the cpu for optimal performance
Now I'm getting the 'burnt rubber smell' coming through the A/C vents. Also, you can smell it around the engine compartment once the vehicle is parked (after driving it). Smells like a tire on fire.

Did we every get a definitive solution as to what is causing this?

Sincere Thanks!

Check ur blower belt if it hasn’t been replaced recently, they don’t last that long.

UPDATE: Had the truck at the dealership for an oil change yesterday. They said the accessory and supercharger belts looked fine (for what that's worth coming from the dealership techs...)

Q: Does anyone know the recommended change interval on the supercharger belt?

It must have one. Timing belts have recommended change intervals based on upper limits on both mileage and age (or so says Ducati).
I had the same rubber smell. Just had an oil change and asked for the supercharger belt to be changed because of previous experience of belt snapping. Afte the belt was change no more smell. The old belt looked fine, the only difference was in the grooves of the belt. They were worn and smoother than the new belt. I recommend as other members to change supercharger belt at least 20k miles. I change mine every 20k kms. It’s a cheap part but keeps my mind at ease. Dealer keeps at least 2-3 on stock for me at all times.
