So I had the patch done yesterday at a local Jeep dealer, it took about 45 minutes in total. Very easy. But I mentioned that I only received a letter about it a couple of days ago, even though the recall was issued months ago now. So that was surprising. They had no idea about the letter since it was a national thing.

In our digital age they really should be sending out emails alongside traditional letters in the mail. So it was just a software update then? Nothing mechanical was replaced.

Just had my 2017 SRT done today and took just a little less 30 minutes. It is interesting that from the time I posted the links above (7/02 - that showed NO recall) regarding how to check recall status until (7/16) I got the recall letter for the SRT.
