Question about Ethanol I heard that Ethanol was bad on the rubber parts in fuel lines and not enough lube for the upper CYL. Unless you have a flex fuel vehicle which you can run this fuel. Can someone explain why it is ok or not ok to use E85 fuel.

Fuel system must be E85 compatible and vehicle must be tuned to run it. If you put E85 into an engine only spec’d to run gasoline, you will have an expensive problem.

you answered the question in your answer. certain companies stick to using the higher grade more alcohol resistant variations that handle e85, like gm. also given the different stoich and the much higher Octane it burns cooler, faster, and better. i.e.. more power less mpg, and smells good!! im not sure about the not enough lube part. unlike some of the gents on here I have no experience with it.
