I got a ETC ( Electronic Throttle Control) Warning light last niht leaving work. Getting on the Hwy, Full throttle, the display suggested a malfunction then the CEL goes on. I do not have an after market Throttle Body. I do have pulleys upper and lower, CAI, injectors, tuned and plugs, I run meth. Im sure that none of that is the issue. This is the first CEL I have gotten since I have had my engine work done in October.

I did have my onboard Dyno on. After the warning light and the CEL, I did notice that my boost gauge was not reading at all. all it read was -- those dashes. Truck still felt strong had boost but not reading. Pulled over in a parking lot and used my Diablo hand tuner to clear the code. Restarted the car and Boost read again. no other issues to report.

can anyone tell me what that ECT warning light represents? and if it were to continue what the remedy would be?

Any thoughts appreciated.

Could be a bunch of things, usually a sensor parameter out of spec

It could’ve been a one time thing but if it continues you know you got a problem

I was in a similar scenario a couple hours ago,

Conditions:
Outside temperature was 30 degrees , in track mode, oil temp was Roughly 205 as well as the coolant, trans was 180 oil pressure was good(basically everything was running in correct temp, I was driving for 30 min prior to checklight coming on), coming off the exit on to the highway WOT, went to turn close my sunroof from tilt (but was too late, was already in full throttle and the resistance just put it back in tilt), heat was on low, music off, approximately 500lbs of people on board(if all this makes a difference)

Somewhere after 5th gear going into 6th my ETC light come goes on along with my engine checklight, turn still ran strong, no noises or loss of power however my boost pressure gauge went blank and engine check code read P0106.

I popped the hood, didn't hear nothing odd, didn't see anything, gave it light revs and didn't hear any boost leaks (wasn't a thorough inspection)

I shut it off, started back up fine no issues. Boost gauge came back, the ETC light turned off(red lightning symbol), check light stayed on still runs good but the P0106 did not go away.

Everything is factory and still under warranty, 2018 with 18k miles.

I'll let you know what happens after I take it to the dealership

Any guesses on what it could be?

Conclusion:

The diagnosis it as nothing major, it was caused by most likely by heavy load while running lean from the cold weather, they reset the light and said if comes back on to bring it back...
