Just curious what average cruising Engine Oil and Trans Temps you guys are seeing?
I have a 14 SRT8 with extended warranty and eventually would like to find a low mileage TH, but that’s a few years down the road. (Or depending on cost and if I decide to keep it, possibly do a twin turbo build with my 14)
But as of now, I would like to lower my Engine Oil and Trans Temp slightly. I see B&M has a larger capacity Trans Pan and after my warranty expires I might install an addition Trans Cooler. Also, after warranty possibly add a Low Temp Thermostst, but then I know the fans are supposed to be reprogrammed to kick on at a lower Temp, but I don’t want my cooling fans to continually run all summer long.
When I had my ZR1 I know a few guys on the forum recommended drilling a couple small holes in the Thermostat housing, but I won’t be doing that with this vehicle.
Do you know what Temp Thermostat is in the TH?

(On a side note; Do you guys notice that every guy whether they’re in a pinto, escort or rusted out pick-up to every Porsche or Vette they all rev their engines thinking your race them or nail it on a 30mph road? I get it constantly in my 14 and can only imagine how often you guys get it in your TH)

Also interested in what Oil Temps you guys are seeing if I decided to upgrade to a low mileage TH in a year or 2.
Also any other issues you guys might be noticing with the new TH?
Truly Appreciate a few responses.

80 some views and no replies. Maybe TH owners don’t check Temps?
I would think many former SRT8 owners are now or planning on becoming TH owners, including myself.
It is what it is.

Mine:
Outside temp+ 7-11 deg = intercooler temp
IC temp + 30 - 45 = intake air temp.
Intake air temp is that after the intercooler, not intake to supercharger.
At an idle, IC temp rises.
During running, IC temp runs about 7-9 deg more than ambient temp.
