Does any one who ordered a Trackhawk have an expected delivery date yet? Any idea when to expect them if ordered on Aug 14th?

The best I have gotten from my dealer is that I am waiting for FCA to call and speak to me to confirm my order and when that happens I should get a build date. It seems like not many people know what to expect with the "concierge" experience.

No clue if that is happening but I also would like that. We are paying for a higher MSRP vehicle after all. :p

I was more referring to the ordering process FCA is using. The dealers I spoke to all called this technique the concierge process.

Pardon my ignorance but what does that mean confirming order? Will the dealer be calling me to make sure that it's the color and options that I want etc? Sorry I have never ordered a car without seeing it first. This is the first time for me. In fact I did everything over the phone. I just picked options and colors and I didn't sign anything at all. He texted me my order form and 2 days later my deposit went through.

It's the way FCA is trying to prevent price gouging from dealers. what I am hearing is that a representative from FCA is going to call you and ask questions confirming your order and ask if the dealer charged you more than what the agreed upon price is. Some dealers will sell the car at invoice or MSRP but then sell you a $20k hat or some other non sense for the "market adjustment" in price. Another option is have a "sold order" to an employee and then have that fall through so the dealer can still get their allotment. FCA is just trying to prevent that. I suspect the 4 day ordering window had something to do with that as well.

It will be interesting to see how the whole "FCA concierge" thing works as we get closer to production start at the end of September. While FCA is probably still figuring out dealers trying to come up with creative ways to make more money (via ADMs, sold orders to employees or fake customers, etc.), one wonders how much they will be able to actually do about it at this point, since the allocations for 2018 have already been determined. Perhaps that will alter the 2019 allocations or allocations on other SRT vehicles?? Nonetheless, looks like we could see vehicles reach folks in late Oct, but more likely Nov/Dec. I assume the 1st orders that were done at each dealer during the 4d window will get filled before the rest of the 2018 allocations that were determined the following week based on the formula of Jeep sales in the past year, WK SRT sales, and overall SRT sales.

I ordered mine on the 14th as well. I received my VIN on Sept 15th and went to D status at the same time.

There are just as many without VINs are there are people who have them. No one has had a clear reason why yet. Heard rumors it was by geographic location and others by order date. None of them are holding. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it.

Production is still on hold. Other people who reached out to Jeep were told mid to end of October for production to start. The Customer Care agent I spoke with today said I should go D1 next week (believe it when I see it).

I’ve been in D status since at least September 18th, as that’s the day I reached out to my dealer after hearing of others getting their VIN’s already. I was told I was already in D status but wasn’t given a VIN. Anyways, I’m in no rush, I’d prefer they work out all of the kinks now as opposed to delivering a vehicle too soon that could be destined for multiple recalls.

If you are in D status then I believe that means a VIN should have been assigned. Ask your dealer to get an updated POC (priced order confirmation). Your status/VON/VIN should all be across the top. They shouldn't have any issues getting that for you.

There is No Process Yet

Ordered my Trackhawk on 14 August. Just got my VIN yesterday. Up til then, dealer had no information. Not sure FCA had any kind of real process in place when they started all of this. Spoke to Jeep Customer Care today and there still is no hard answer to when production will start. The answer seems to vary with which Customer Care Agent you happen to get connected with when you call. Long time on hold and then you get the usual "we don't have a real answer for you yet". Hope they get their act together soon.

As of this evening there have been 5 that have rolled off the retail production line. As they refine the process and testing that should pick up quite quickly...
