Can anyone point me in the right direction for the Gates belt. Ive seen a lot of posts about peoples belt snapping and I want to be precautionary and install the correct heavy duty belt.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for the Gates belt. Ive seen a lot of posts about peoples belt snapping and I want to be precautionary and install the correct heavy duty belt.

To prevent belt break, inspect and replace regularly. I’d recommend at least every 25k miles regardless of the belt manufacturer.

In addition to what Lil Hemi said, use the manufacturers recommendation for belt choice if you are modified. Gates HD or RPM and Bando are popular choices depending on your application.
