Jeep Hellcat Grand Cherokee Recorded In Action

The wait has been long with little information released recently by Jeep or any other automotive publication but now there’s video proof of the Jeep Trakhawk’s existence. Yes, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk has been confirmed for production but ever since that announcement, the media has been relatively quiet with small nuggets of new information here and there, until now.

AutoGuide.com has just recently uploaded a video of the Jeep Trakhawk in action at what seems to be an enclosed testing track and you can clearly hear the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine accelerating within a short distance.

Regardless of what they’re testing the Trackhawk for, we can now confirm that the V8 engine does indeed produce the supercharged Hellcat’s distinctive whine, something Jeep doesn’t want you to hear if the car being thrown into reverse is anything to go by.

Got to love hearing that supercharger whine and seeing it come from a big body SUV :D Finally we get to see it in action.
Gotta love the test driver backing it up after spotting them.

Seemed too good to be true, it's possible it's all scripted and setup to happen like that.
Sounds good and its exciting to see it in action. All signs point to the Trackhawk happening in good time.

It's making waiting for 2017 to come around a much easier wait since now we're not in the dark as much.

Agreed. I'm also curious if Jeep is going to make performance variants of other vehicles like the Cherokee and the Renegade.

So far there has only been rumors, and honestly I don't know if they can make the case for anything more than they have currently. Trailhawk versions seem to be about the highest it'll go.

Don't see any other car makers getting into those performance spaces.
