If you ever experience any kind of Transmission leak, Do Not let the dealer add Dye to the Trans Fluid! The dye is not Approved for our Transmissions.
Just don’t want to see anyone have unexpected Trans issues down the road!

I had a leak in my Trans line at high temp/high pressure and this dealership said they have to add dye to my transmission fluid or they won’t fix it under warranty. Luckily I refused to add the dye to my Trans fluid. Later I found the information in FCA service manual/student handbook that says “Chrysler’s Dye is not approved for the ZF 8 Speed Transmission.” “The fluid is luminescent when looked at with a black light and yellow glasses.” Page 18-19
