Anyone out there who has a VON no. and frustrated by not receiving their VIN after almost 2 months since putting down the deposit needs to call FCA @ 800-334-9200 and go through the prompts.

The nice lady that you finally talk to will provide your VIN (if issued) and give you an indication on your build date.

Nice concierge service !:smile2:

Hanksan thank you for this info. I just called FCA and the lady told me that all the parts are in and that my trackhawk is entering the building stage and it will be delivered within 30 days. I just screamed at the top of my lungs.

My pleasure... After I had repeatedly called my dealer to learn nothing, I figured that there must be another way ...

I can feel your happiness !

Wow...I can’t believe how unorganized an FCA call center is.

I just called and was on hold for 20 plus minutes and then gut hung up on right as she was about to provide me with some information. So I called back and got someone else who did the same thing, hung up on me again, though he did give me some info before doing so this time. I got the last 8 of the VIN, which is more than I had prior to seeing this thread, but other than that the rest was just confusing and annoying. Before I got hung up on the 2nd time I was told that the parts are in and it’s waiting to get assembled. And then right before I got hung up on the 2nd time he said it would be on the shipping truck by the 18th of this month! I said there’s no way it’ll be shipped in a week if it’s a bunch of parts right now. And that’s when he said let me put you on hold to confirm that and then click, hung up on again.

Any estimates around which VIN number is usually the first to get sold to the public? They don’t usually start at 001 for the general public do they? Just curious cause mine seems pretty low.

The VIN#'s are totally random. My VIN# compared to others is like 25,000 less/more, and I know they are not building that many lol. Also how they have been going to D1 has been random as well from the first allocation window in August.

You know they are always having phone troubles and technical difficulties and DELAYS....come on haha ...But congrats on getting a VIN#
The last guy couldn’t hear me because of a vacuum cleaner being used right next to him. Lol

Both of the operators hung up on me right after they said please hold, so maybe there was actually something wrong with their phone system.

I thought that within a limited production run model like this that the VIN’s would be sequential in order. Is that a false assumption?
Jms,
Sorry that they hung up on you. I told the woman I am waiting on a trackhawk she said trailhawk I said no trackhawk and she said is that 4x2 or 4x4 so I then realized they have no idea what they are doing lol. She told me that my parts and in and once they begin building which mine supposedly is just going to be started it will delivered within 30 days. I don't know how true that is but that is what she told me. I did purchase on aug 14. I am not sure of how they assemble according to Vin or date of purchase or location or what. I would be happy if I got within 60 days as long as it's in before the end of the year so I can use the sec 179 for tax purposes being that the gvwr is over 6k pounds. Fingers are crossed for everyone.
Backbreaker...we both bought on the same day, so at least “the parts are in” jives with what they told me too. Your 30 day window sounds more realistic than the one week timeline they told me.

I got the Trailhawk thing too at a dealership before I bought mine. It was like a who’s on first skit, it was very confusing for the poor salesmen that had no idea what the **** I was talking about, yet awfully funny for me.

Hahaha..... Yeah the VIN#s are all over the place.

Yeah same thing happened when I ordered mine....What color trailhawk do you want etc. and I corrected them at least 10 times. I just want to see the dayum things start being built....... I ordered on the 14th of Aug too....
I sure hope we didn’t mistakenly order Trailhawks! 😱 😜😳
Anyone know the exact weight of the Trackhawk.? I need it to be over 6000 lbs for the Sec 179 deduction.

Thanks!
