Looking For One

Just an intro. Been following Trackhawks for a while and a few dealers in my area wanted to order one for me, but I decided to wait to see some colors on it in person. Current stable is a 2014 Raptor, a 2016 Alpina B6, and a 2017 JKU. I decided I wanted to replace the Raptor and the Alpina with with the Trackhawk (maybe). I can't think of a better replacement for these two than the Trackhawk, since I really don't do the baja trails anymore.

I'd like the Rhino on Red as my first choice.

All this said, I did some inventory searching on jeep.com, and I saw that there are now a number of Trackhawks "In Transit" to local dealers. They are also listed on the dealers' sites with VINs. Good news I guess!

Looking forward to getting one of these.

Did you call any of these dealers to see if these are available for purchase? My hunch is that your seeing customers orders that were already placed that are now in transit to the dealer, not TH’s available for purchase meant as dealer inventory.

Glad to have someone on the forum with the cars you own because that will go a long way in the sort of feedback you'll give about the Trackhawk.
Perspective is a big thing and you sure do have it.
Do you by any chance see yourself getting performance mods done? I see that hennessey performance already has a program out for the TH's.
I have a Redline on Red leather ordered and am cancelling. The main reason is I keep getting the run around. I was told on oct 31 I was in Kz status. Then on nov 9 I was back in D1 and today I am back to D status with just a vin number assigned. She said there is no way I would get by the end of the year.

I called today. It's not my first color pick, but it has everything I want. They said it was ordered for inventory and is available. Maybe someone canceled it. I'll call some more local dealers tomorrow.

As for mods, how could I not? I'm not a fan of Hennessey, but I am guessing there will be a number of tuners working on good stuff for the TH. I think Jeep is expecting that. They overbuilt the drive train for a reason. I am hoping it was for more mods!

Anyhow, looking forward to getting going on this, and I'll send my feedback. I hope everyone else does too.
Bar,

What are dealers asking for these as lot inventory?

I'll let you know Saturday. Their websites all show at MSRP, but that doesn't mean much. A few months ago, I spoke to two other dealers. One wanted $7k over, and the other wanted $2k over. I told them I would wait until I see the colors on the TH in person.
Shop around, you don’t need to pay over MSRP. I paid dealer invoice, many others paid below MSRP too.

So I found one today. Full leather, Pano Roof, Stereo, Black Wheels, Ruby Red Interior. I was torn between Bright White and Rhino (my JK is Rhino). This one is BW. It is in transit (which means it was built, I guess...). MSRP. I am fine with that. Looking forward to getting this home. One dealer here has a similar Trackhawk on their website for $200k. Hilarious!
I’m sure you can do better than MSRP, there are a bunch popping up on dealer’s websites.
Often its a case of the right dealer in the right location but even then Jeep probably did enough research to pin point what proper allocation is like for a given dealer and area.
Check out how low some dealers are willing to go, essentially just making 1% of their holdback. This add has expired, but if anyone’s still looking I’d give them a call.

Well, I was going to post an image of it, but I have no idea how to do so, the drag files to attach link doesn’t work for me. So check out this link and scroll down to Koons Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. There are a couple of other great deals too, and then one asking way over MSRP.

This link is worth checking out just for the videos.
I got Black with red leather to match my 10A Rubicon.
