[Dude What Warranty?]

Was curious what mods, if any, does everyone plan on doing to their JGC TH:

I guess I will start:

- JLT Catch Can.
- Remove helmholtz resonator as soon as purchased. Then hopefully LMI.
- Tinting.
- Paint protection, probably ceramic.
- Blacking out trim, instead of the gray.
- Debating back and forth on de-badging. Will see what the final production vehicle looks like.
- Upgrading brake pads if they are anything like the factory hellcat pads.

Then two years later if all goes well, hand it over to Demon Performance:

- Full exhaust.
- Tune.
- Pulley.
- 4.5L Whipple.

You think two years is not enough time for someone to hack the "Security Gateway Module"? I am sure someone, especially a skilled tuner, will find a way lol.

What about Hennessey? They have two versions to upgrade. One is 852 hp to wheels and the other is 1012hp I believe. 0-60 in 2.8. For the first one they say a different pulley and a tune with it. Would be a great start.

I would never say the "H" word on this forum again lol. I would never let them touch any of my vehicles! They are the worse (price wise for sure, customer satisfaction, and work) and there are way better tuners/performance shops out there. Like my favorite "Demon Performance."

C'mon guys??? Isn't 707 hp in an SUV enough? Especially coming from 475 hp? Why would you take a factory built and fully warrantied vehicle and void that by adding say a nominal 10 or 15% more hp? That's ridiculous (and stupid IMO). There was so much R&D that went into this SUV, and it is all covered under warranty, and then you're going to drive it off the lot and void that just so you can beat the one Trackhawk you may come across at a stop light one day. That's lunacy. Enjoy the increase in performance for a couple of years and then trade it in for the Demon (pray) Trackhawk 🙏. Buy a WK2 SRT8 that's already been built to the hilt if that's what you want, it's probably a much better bang for the buck since you rarely get much of that after market money back. Drive and enjoy this SUV for what it is, a factory stock hp monster like nothing else the world has ever seen. That's what makes this a truly rare and unique vehicle. Anybody can bolt on tons of hp aftermarket to anything they want. And I'd bet those that do this to a Trackhawk will kill their resale value, not only won't you get any of that money back but I'd bet it'd be worth even less than a stock Trackhawk.

But what do I know, that's just one guy's opinion.

I agree. I won't be modding mine at all. Every time is do it always messes my cars up. I agree it's fast enough and from the videos the sound is good enough for me. I may debadge it and leave the trackhawk badge in the back but that's it as I can always add those back for resale. It's way faster than I have had. My 2014 e63 amg was fast and that only had 500+ horsepower. I have never driven anything in the 6's never mind 707hp. I'm good with stock and warranty.

I wouldn't be caught dead in that rice rocket, but the owner very well may be someday. Nor would I even gratify them with a race. That's a drifter's Saturday night special that gets totaled trying to show off for the crowd that gathered to see boneheads racing for pink slips on a street they took the liberty of closing down themselves.
