Well I've come over to the dark side.
For the last 15 years I have been into the Mitsubishi and Subaru 4-cylinder platforms. Particularly into the 1/4 mile world.
Last year I sold my daily 4-door red wranger and decided to get into a newer style V6 GC.
Love the car. Extremely comfortable but huge lack of power to be sure.

Earlier this year decided to look into maybe picking up a trackhawk. Went tot the dealer, price was right and signed on the dotted line.
June 19th finally picked her up at the dealer.
Well worth the wait.

Plan is to have some fun down the quarter mile.
Decided to right away instal the JLT catch can and 2 days later the JLT intake.
What a difference the intake makes. Amazing sounds...

Over this past weekend I hit 500 miles and started having a little more fun.

Fortunately, when I placed my TH order I decided to start collecting parts. The EPA new regulations do have me worried. So best to pickup the parts now then to wait a little while before installing.

So for the time being I picked up the intake, catch can, upper/lower pullies, injectors, HP tuners MPVI2, Fuelmax booster, Kooks headers, catless connection pipes and set of gently used Weld S76 beadlock rears and runners. Had an opportunity to pickup the a used Ripa cog setup for a great price for the future.
Good start for sure especially on pump gas for now.

Stay tuned for more updates.

New arrivals...
Couldn't let this facebook marketplace deal pass by.

Brand new DSS front and rear driveshafts and Gforce Renegade axles.

Not looking to go balls to the wall yet so these Renegade series axles in the meantime should hold up well to some punishment vs stock.

Is that on gasoline or E85?
Gasoline with boostane for now.

For next season I did just recently pickup a jokerz blower, boostapump and ID1300s on Ignite Red.
A lot of people run the boost a pump without issue but since my fueling issue cost me a motor, I sprung for a whole new fuel system. Wasn’t gonna take that chance.

I have a bad habit of collecting parts for future setups. I did pickup a Fore triple pump module this year from a friend. Just need to put together the rest of the kit when the time comes.

I hope im lucky enough to have the right timing that by the time the stock motor pops I'll be in a position with my spare motor to drop in. So far I only have a bareblock in my parts collection. Lol.

Not a fan of octane boosters truly but my tuner swears by them. Hope these aren't my famous last words.🤞
Not bad.
Few changes and back to the track in 2 weeks.

Do you have any pics with the drag radials installed, also do you launch the truck with the launch control or foot brake?

100% footbrake. Find it the most effective.
Have everything set to track except suspension is set to street.

Most people dont use that size drag radial. I'm use to seeing the 305/35/20's. The 45's are taller at 31 inches vs the 35's @ 28.4 inches..I guess the increased height isnt really affecting you negatively based on your et's. I like the look, nice and beefy..
Stock springs.
Not lowered.

The more meat under the truck hooking to the road the better.
