The Options

Touring Edition Exhaust:

The Touring Edition is a full 3” straight-through stainless steel catback configuration capable of delivering optimal power while remaining drone-free throughout the entire rev range. Featuring a precision-engineered H-pipe and AWE’s patented drone-canceling solution, 180 Technology®, the Touring Edition delivers deep, rich exhaust notes that coax anyone in your lane to move out of the way.

Perfect tone, compliments of AWE 180 Technology®

As exhaust gases exit the HEMI engine and flow into an AWE 180 Technology® equipped resonator, they pass through strategically located ports, and into reflection chambers. Sound waves, carried by these exhaust gasses, bounce off the walls of the reflection chambers. By controlling the size and location of the ports and the chambers, we also control when the sound waves exit the chambers. The specific timing of when the reflected sound waves rejoin the main exhaust flow creates a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree out-of-phase sound wave that cancels out problematic frequencies.

Track Edition Exhaust:

For those who like it raw and rowdy, the Track Edition is for you. The Track Edition shares the same integrated H-pipe and precision engineering as its Touring Edition counterpart, minus AWE’s patented drone-canceling solution, 180 Technology®.

In place of the 180 Technology® resonators in the rear lies Track Edition straight sections. As a result, this version is known to get (really) rowdy in mid-range acceleration and deceleration and may be too much for many. Due to this reason, AWE Track Edition Exhausts cannot be returned based on sound preference. You’ve been warned.

Conversion Kits:

We made it easy to convert between Track and Touring Editions if you decide at a later date to change your volume.

Tip Options:

AWE Exhausts for the Jeep Cherokee Trackhawk integrate perfectly to the factory tip configurations.

What’s in the box?

Complete Touring or Track Edition Exhaust and all necessary hardware for installation.

Josh from AWE, wow, blast from the past.
Yea, I’m an old B6 S4 guy from Bucks County.

For those not don’t know, AWE is a top notch operation that’s been around for a looong time in the Audi/Porsche/VW world.

Greetings, amigo!

Yes, our VAG roots are deep. These days, though, we have expanded to so many new markets with our secret sauce and it's been quite a ride! Definitely excited to set the bar properly in the TH and SRT markets. These systems are radical.

Hi Josh,

What are the advantages to using an “H” pipe on the Trackhawk when most of the other exhaust manufactures are using an “X” pipe? Did you compare the 2 designs and find the “H” pipe more favorable? If so, can you tell us why?

Thanks!

Hey!

Xpipes introduce a lot of rasp on these platforms, and we didn't find it acceptable. H-pipes are what the 6.4L and 6.2L SC deserve, and when properly engineered, can sound fantastic (as you can hear above ).

Thank you Josh.

The AWE touring cat back sounds really good on your video. It seems deep and not raspy so the H-Pipe is doing something right!
I assume the projected HP gains are the same for both touring & track systems?

That is correct! Touring Editions are what we dyno test as they feature a very literal straight-through design. The inside path of the 180 Technology® resonators in the rear resembles the inside of a straight length piece of stainless. Due to this straight-through design, the unlockable performance attributes are shared between the two configurations. The primary difference between the two is their presence within the cabin, acoustically, at cruising speeds.

Thank you for the info guys. I am not a fan of how the stock tips look on aftermarket exhausts and I was wondering if your touring system can be custom ordered with your black diamond tips to look similar to the stock ones? I have the tow package on my TH, but I am willing to do some grinding to it in order to make everything fit properly.
Please let me know if I should contact you guys directly with this question. Thank you.

Unfortunately not, my friend. We don't do one-offs, I am afraid.
