Has anyone else had radiator issues? Noticed fluid leaking after a highway drive and the overflow (not the radiator) was empty. From where it was coming from I thought it was the hose coupling underneath the radiator, but when I refilled it and started it back up it started leaking pretty rapidly from the radiator. I shut it down and the next morning both the overflow and radiator had drained onto my driveway.

2018 stock, 37k miles just out of warranty. I saw a comment about leaky radiators on the Hellcat forum. These things shouldn't be failing so soon? If I have to pay for this I'm hesitant to get a replacement from Jeep.

Isn’t the trans cooler built into the radiator? Idk where I saw that but I think the top portion of the radiator is for the transmission fluid and the lower portion does the engine coolant.

I wonder if the Mishimoto radiator that they show for Jeep SRT8 2012+ 6.4L would fit the TrackHawk, my 15’ JGC SRT has the trani lines plumbed into the radiator as well and looks like the exact radiator the Hawk has.

That was exactly my thought -- if I have to purchase one I'd rather spend and extra $250 and get a higher quality product. Solismo has that radiator listed under TrackHawk, thought the install guide seems to be for the SRT8 still so its not clear if it will plug and play.

Did you install your own? Curious if the whole front end needs to come off or just the grille and splash guards underneath.

I had my radiator cap, the water pump and radiator all fail within a month. It was out of warranty, but SRT picked up the bill because I only had 24k miles and I was a few months out of warranty.

I suppose it’s worth a shot. My Uconnect screen is also delaminating which started about 18 months in but I didn’t recognize was an issue until the warranty expired and now it’s borderline useless.

How do I contact SRT to see if they will do anything?

They’ve been covering the screens out of warranty. Known defect across all GCs. Good luck 👍🏼

Mine cracked on my 2021 Hawk at 1,290 miles. I immediately pulled over and could see the fluid leaking out everywhere. Right before it happen though, I was idling waiting to turn left through traffic and I kept getting this notification of some app that didn't update, I cleared it out and it came back when I was trying to open the performance pages. I happened to look at my temp and saw it shooting up and then I got a notification the engine was overheating. After an hour or so all fluids were drained from the overflow too.

I took delivery Jun 18th and by Sept 1st, with only 1,290 miles on the odo, the radiator was shot! WTF, I was easy on Hawk through the first 500 miles too. After 500 miles and before the radiator blew at 1,290 miles, I had only given it a few mild rips up to about 75-85 mph max. These rips were only from rolls starting around 15-20mph mph, never from digs and only giving it about half throttle before letting off. I wasn't mashing the throttle either, just progressively pushing into the throttle.

While it was in the shop, I had the oil/filter changed and oil cooler drained. I guess that's the only positive from it all, as I was going to change the oil at 3k and then 6k but I had reason to do it sooner.

At 37K miles, only 1K past warranty I'd call SRT. They might at least consider passing on a savings to you for a few hundred off replacement or something. I could understand if you're 7-10K past or a year past warranty, but maybe there's something they're willing to do for you.

Update on this -- I called SRT last Monday. The case manager was great, I told her about both the radiator and screen delimitation. She put me on hold for a few minutes, then said she was authorized to take care of both the radiator and screen delimitation issue, and to call her back when I had a dealer appointment. I then called two local dealers and took the first available appointment which was 12/1.

There were a few miscommunications over the holiday week getting back in touch with the case manager, but this AM I added a gallon of coolant and drove it to the dealer. This afternoon both the case manager and dealer called and said all would be taken care of.

My one concern -- when I went to fill the coolant today, there was some orange/brown sludge in the fill neck. I assume this was rust from the radiator, but why would this happen? The coolant has never been added to or changed, so was still factory original coolant. I'm hoping they flush the system I'm mostly worried about water pump issues from the sludge down the line....

It would be interesting to know how that was caused. What year is your truck?

Just happened to me also. The dreaded morning orange/brown puddle was a huge mood changer. The dealer towed my TH and now waiting on a radiator to appear in stock. They are changing the radiator pressure cap also.

The Trackhawk rad has some brackets on the front for the external oil cooler and that's the only difference.

I put in a 3 core Aluminum and we had to fabricate some brackets.
This 3 core Aluminum one looks like it has the front lower brackets
but I would check with the vendor
