Started thinking about it and before I was completely head over heels for the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT... that was until word of the Trackhawk came about. Soon after, I completely forgot about the SRT and set my sights completely and solely on the Trackhawk.

Do you think when the Trackhawk starts to sell, it'll essentially steal the fluff and hype over the SRT edition? That is until SRT develops a Demon edition or HellBird (whatever they'll call it)

I know there are still a lot of people that will want the SRT because it'll be more attainable than a Trackhawk but if you're in that upper end of the market, you may as well spend the extra money for the horses and bald eagles right?

What are your thoughts on this?

If FCA thought like that then the Charger and Challenger Hellcats wouldn't happen, and they happened. Look how well they are selling. Have you looked at price? Price difference between an SRT and Hellcat will give you an answer.

Really can't see them taking the thunder away.

But like mentioned above, Remember, the Challenger came with the SRT initially, then came in the Hellcat, and now the Demon. If they're all selling reasonably well, there isn't anything to worry about in this regard.

I can for one say that seeing an SRT Jeep really isn't a feat compared to seeing a Trackhawk now, so I will consider them slightly less, but I still love em' both regardless.

You wouldn't really compare the Trackhawk and the Demon as they're different. The Trackhawk is a performance oriented SUV that still has creature comforts. The Demon on the other hand is a straight production track beast that's barely street legal

I already mentioned in my initial post that this comparison is horrible. If you want to talk about stealing away the spot light... what should be mentioned are OTHER CAR MAKERS.

RST Tahoe can be considered if you want to avoid looking at German car makers.

That's not really what you said but.. I see your last point at least.

The RST Tahoe is far from Trackhawk territory and more in line with SRT.

RST with 420/460 out of a 6.2L and the SRT with 475/470 out of a 6.4L
