Stage#1 problem with shifting

Hey fellas,

Working on my stage #1, installed all hardware and now loading pcm/tcm tunes.

Got one thing which I can't handle: when I start with WOT, after 6000rpm trans didn't shift the 1st to 2nd and engine kicks, rmp goes off.

If I set rpm to 5000-5500rpm, trans shifts gears perfect, but it's not enough for stage #1.

I expected that trans 8hp95 can handle shifting 1-2 on 6500-7000rpm.

Any ideas and your experience?

I believe there is more to the trans tune than raising the RPM shift points. Who provided the Stage #1 kit? They might be able to assist.
In for updates.

bought a kit from HHP, but don't use their tune
The trans tune on a Trackhawk makes a world of difference, even on a stock truck. There are changes to line pressures, RPM limits and torque management. This is better left to an experienced tuner for the 8hp95. Since you seem to have good knowledge and the ability to change PCM/TCM parameters, I'd consult with a remote tuner. Send them some data logs and have them make some adjustments until you are happy.

Yep. A good trans tune is worth it's weight in gold. Find a proven tuner for that.
