That looks like an aftermarket kit? The one I ordered is standard, fully loaded. It's supposed to get here in April/May. I actually ordered it in December a year ago when my TH got stolen the first time. They are really hard to get now, Audi is barely handing out allocations. Audi seems to mostly be building what they have parts for instead of customer order cars. I'll probably keep it stock during warranty period and then eventually tune it. I'll daily drive my GT3RS in the meantime and I have a Huracan STO coming in January. It sucks not having a SUV, but at least I have other fun cars to drive and if I really need the extra space for something I can always rent a truck.
You’ll end up with quite a stable.

Can you give us an update on your thoughts. Im looking at getting this installed. Spoke to an installer that has done many. About $1000 and retains remote start. Basically locks the gear shifter until you enter a code through existing dash/steering wheel buttons.
OUCH, 1k?, I assume he needs to drive out to you to get it installed. There's so much you can do with 1k.

Sell your TH and buy and build an SRT to 1000HP. Granted mine is only @700hp. (Only because Stock compression and stock Transmission) But can be done without to many issues. (Funny my SRT gets more attention than my 2 buddy’s TH’s) Unfortunately, often times negative attention. But SRT’s are not nearly as in demand to thefts as Trackhawks.
And Yes obviously, much easier to build a TH to 1K HP than an SRT. But thefts see the SRT badge and move on to looking for a TH. Just find a low mileage SRT and build it to 1000HP. Same price as TH.
I’m concerned about my ride being stolen even though I’ve taken extra precautions.. But I don’t think I would be able to sleep at night with a TH just out running errands and not worried it will be stolen. Hot ticket now.
Im Just Say’n guys.

Check out my other thread on my IGLA review. In my area, theives dont care if its a base Grand Cherokee, TH or a Dodge Ram. I know this because of what has been stolen around here.

The $1000 ($740 USD) is worth it for me. Nearly impossible to replace my TH here at any price without taking a loss based on what insurance would pay.

Yeah, the SRTs get stolen as well, and I’ve taken extra security steps to hopefully prevent it from happening. My wheels were stolen @6 months after purchase

Joined here to help provide insight and protect yourself as I fell victim to having my trackhawk stolen. I will not say exactly where I live, but I live in an affluent area on a dead end and my Trackhawk was not the highest profile car I own. For several years I have had several higher end and rarer cars either parked on my driveway or in my garage depending on what I was driving that week.

I owned it for only 87 days before the theft occured and it was one of four vehicles I currently own. So I only drove in three local towns with that vehicle during my entire brief stint of ownership. Which leads me to believe it is an inside job of thieves obtaining records from DMV or from the dealers themselves through low level employees. I also have quite the arsenal at home, and several video surveillance devices on my property. However, the perps in question, not only circumvented my faraday bags, by creating their own keys on the spot, but they also jammed all of my wireless surveillance devices. They also spoofed the gps tracker on my car to show incorrect locations for my vehicle at any given time i attempted to track it. There was only about 12 seconds of video recordings captured and they were already in the vehicle when it finally captured something. By the time i received notification and came downstairs, it was too late as they were already leaving my driveway with the vehicle. I recommend several layers of protection, cutoffs, pin protected start, and c pillar glass detection systems installed, as well as dual gps tracking mechanicms. Guardian isnt enough as it is absolutely terrible and unreliable. Also I have since switched to concealed hardwired video surveillance on a local LAN and storage to help in the future if this were to ever happen again.

They really did their homework to get your TH. These weren’t your average theives to go to so much detail using pretty expensive equipment to jam your surveillance system. Glad you updated your surveillance to hard wire. Sorry to hear about your TH.
As I have written before, it really doesn’t matter the make or model of a vehicle they are all just as easy to break into, what matters is the blackmarket demand. I’ve seen 2022 s-class’s, series 7 bmw’s and other high end vehicles being stolen within under 20secs.
Totally agree on installing non oem countermeasures to prevent theft.
