If tuning were possible, what sort of HP packages would you guys like? Just trying to gauge the market to see what we need to work on. We've got something cooking... >:):grin2:>:)

I was thinking basic bolt on kits to start; upper pulley to get around 15psi on 93 (2.75"), 180* tstat, upgraded blower belt, pin kit, injectors, custom calibration.

We can call this the "stage 1"

@Texman500, are you saying 8-900BHP or WHP? We generally talk WHP numbers. The plan for the intro package is a targeted 740-750AWHP package, which would be about an 875BHP package with an 18% correction factor for drivetrain loss.

The tuning is the tricky part. We have to take extra steps to flash the PCMs so that will require preset kits. Kind of like they do on the Euro side of things. We'll work on updates and upgrades in the future of course. Our plan is releasing the TT kits for the TH's this year after the release of our HC/Demon TT kits.

I was thinking something like this...

Stage 1 - Pump
Stage 1 - Ethanol
Stage 1 - Race Gas

The stage 2, 3 and 4 upgrades would follow suit with more modifications and so on.

All these would have the same basic mods to match, but different power outputs because of the calibration involved with their fuel types.

Then we'd work our way up and offer other stages for packages that have big motors/heads/cam or turbo packages/whipple+fuel system+calibrations for higher boost levels (corn/race gas use)

I guess time will tell!

The proposed stage 1 is where I'd be looking. I'd like more power, but stay safe for the time being.

How will tuning work? I presume it'll consist of a new PCM that'll come pre-tuned based on the kit components, or will the use of a Trinity or similar be possible?

What's the price range of something like this proposed stage 1?

I was referring to 8-900 BHP... So about 750-775 WHP. What do you think the stage 1 will cost? Also, would you be willing to ship a stage 1 kit or will you only be doing the installs yourself? Best of luck with the PCM.

Definitely interested and would love to get an update when you figure it out.

Thanks!

The stage 1 setup will be just that! Nice a clean power gains for pump gas. Tuning will be set on the PCM. Unfortunately we don't have the ability to handheld flash tuners like we're able to do on the older HEMI platforms. We have to bench flash the cals to the PCM and match the VIN for each customer when getting these packages, for now.

I don't have exact figures just yet, but they won't be bad at all.

I think my TH will tell

Haha
Yours and several others! We're planning on running/calibrating a few with the same package to ensure the data/results are valid and true across the board. The more the merrier!

Again, pricing is still up in the air as we're waiting on costs for certain things to be finalized. The plan is to offer an in house package for guys that want to send in their vehicles and a mail order package variant for those that want their local shops to install these kits. We already have the PCM figured out ;)

I guess im a little more modest than some...for me i would probably be happy with a flash tune, intake, and pulley.

I generally use cobb style upgrades on the cars ive modified.

For me stage 1 is basically just tuning and maybe an intake. Like on my wk1 i had an AFE intake and a diablosport protune. I considered that stage 1. Same on turbo'd cars ive had.

Not sure if this same path works on the TH.

I guess to get any real gains you need to change the pulley on a SC vehicle so would it be possible to just change the pulley and tune and call it stage 1 or do you have to change injectors?

If i went into full bolt ons (tune, exhaust, intake, injectors, intercooler) i would consider that a stage 2.

Stage 3 would be supercharger upgrade with above.

Stage 4 would be turbos, opening motor up. Big builds.

Also being able to flash tune is a big deal for me. And if you can flash tune based on the gas available that is also really awesome. I roadtrip all over the country and dont always have 93, 91, e85. I cant be sending my ecu in all the time. If flash tuning proves impossible on the TH it would be a deal breaker for me.

We had a pretty successful day at the dyno today with some bolt ons. Time to start tuning and getting packages worked out :)

You ready Stuppypuppy? :p

Do you think there will ever be an "Access Port" platform like there is for the Subaru tunning community? Where we could swap tunes on the fly etc? Im griding these miles down for you guys at demon! only 55k of the warranty left!

Stage 1 and 2 tuning complete! We want to release all the packages together and have numbers for every package so we can do a side by side per stage. Not trying to rush into it just yet. We need to validate the data to ensure it's perfect for daily use for you guy. Custom levels will also be available but that will be for in house only.

These packages will be in house only for the time being.

Here's the gist of it;

D1 - LMI Carbon Intake/Tstat/Tuned
D2 - LMI Carbon Intake/Tstat/Lower/Tuned
D3 - LMI Carbon Intake/Tstat/Lower+Upper/Injectors/Spark Plugs/Tuned
D4 - LMI Carbon Intake/Tstat/Lower+Upper/Injectors/Spark Plugs/Longtube Headers/Tuned
...and so on. We have a few guys interested in a head/cam/stroker packages to go with the D4 as well so that will open up soon once time permits. Our test hawk will end up being the first TurboHawk running E85/E98 with twin snails. That kit will also be manufactured side by side with the HC/Demon kits so we'll have this for the public soon! :)

All of these will be calibrated for pump gas use but we will work on variations for corn in the future too ;)

You had me a TurboHawk... How long would you guys need a car for to do something like that? Are you guys going to be doing anything to the drive trains? How is it holding up so far? Man you guys are going all out and its so great to see!
