It will take a little longer than wanted because I am in the process of purchasing another TH since i recently totalled my TH avoiding an idiot that decided to do a sudden u-turn in front me.

The main problem that I have encounted throughout the build was how to mount the mirror camera’s in a way that looks oem. There is not much room behind the mirrors. The GC’s side mirror housings are thinner than all FCA’s products with 360 camera’s offering space for the camera to be mounted flush with the bottom of the housing. Aftermarket camera’s do not work with the 2 wire cameras that work with the cvpm module from FCA. The actual camera module is larger than I initially thought. Once my new TH comes, the first thing I’ll be doing is installing the 360 camera system because I do have 4 types of 3d printed housing for the cameras.

Hi, what settings did you activate in bcm. I have the same CVPM you do but i get "C223B-00 vehicle configuration mismatch" and "B222C-00 vehicle configuration not programmed", the error codes are from CVPM, when I connect to that module.

Please read previous posts. There a couple settings that need changing. Please remember that the cameras used need to be the ones for surround view system. Also check previous posts for part numbers on cameras. The surround view communicates via canbus, while the oem rear camera works with the linnbus. So the oem rear camera will not work with the cvpm

When I change bcm setting in alfaobd the model to pacifica, I dont get the CVPM mismatch error and I get surround view icon on my 10.1 uconnect 5 . Seems that on 2018 is not working like on 2019 wk model.

That could be the case. I did have a 2019. So i can’t talk about the 2018bcm.

For the 2019 you need to disable the rear view camera before enabling the cvpm. The cvpm also connects to the canbus. It is a plug n play, but you need to build the wire harness. I used the empty canbus ports left side of dashboard.

Let me know what you have done exactly on the 2018 TH to try to get the cvpm to work. Maybe something simple. PM your bcm settings as a pdf so i can check with mine and let you know if you are missing a setting or need to change something extra.

My guess is the wiring harness is not complete.

In the bcm settings search tab, just type rear or cvpm, all possible setting shall appear regarding both. The pain in the ass part is the mounting of the side cameras due to lack of depth in the side mirror housing. You need to get someone to 3d print a mount that replaces the plastic lower cap underneath the mirror housing. Replacing that cap with a 3d printed part lets you use the stock plastic clip location while having the 3d printed part house the camera at the desired angle

Hello everyone. I am extremely sorry i have kept all of you waiting for updates regarding this project. I have totalled my TH over a year ago because of a reckless driver. I have not been able to finish the 3d files for the wing mirrors because of this.

If anyone has a 3d scanner and printer, i can help you with all the knowledge i have regarding this project. With all parts in hand, it is about a days work to remove all necessary panels, drivers seat, wiring, coding and installation. Yes many interior panels need to be removed to properly route the fakra cables throughout the TH especially the side mirror cameras.

If anyone wishes to push ahead with this project i will help the best i can. I will help with a live call if needed.

sorry for letting the crowd down on this one.

Hi,

Sorry to hear about your TH, that must have been tough. I really appreciate all the work and knowledge you’ve shared in this thread.

I’m also interested in experimenting with adding a 360 camera setup. I've GC Trailhawk 2019. Just to clarify – from what I understand, you weren’t able to get all four cameras fully working in the system, or am I mistaken?

I got them working, i didnt update the forum in that regard. It is not as difficult as it seems. But a little mechanical/electrical know how will get you a long way in this build

Let me know how i can assist you. If i remember correctly i shared all the part numbers to get what you need. My suggestion are second hand parts, cheaper and pretty easy to get.

i even looked in to getting the pacifica side mirrors directly and swapping out the mount bracket so it would be a perfect fit with slightly small mirrors than the TH but with all the necessary mounting points for the camera. The current GC mirror housing dont offer a lot of space for the cameras, the pacifica mirror housings are deeper to accomodate the space needed
