Help! 2020 X3m Competition or 2018 Trackhawk?

Friend has an X3M and with a tune only it went 10.80 @ 127.

That being said i had an X5M back in the day and it was the biggest piece of sh_t i've ever owned. I'd never own another BMW out of or without a warranty.

That would be one heck of an accomplishment with just a tune...:surprise:. But if we are going to compare apples to apples we'd need to see what a TH does with only a tune...
so. I'm not sure if you're questioning the validity of my statement by saying "Would be"....but for whatever it's worth see below.

And i wasn't mentioning it to say it's a "Better" vehicle then the TH. Just showing they can go very fast with some software. I'm sure a TH with a tune only goes fast also. I'd still take my stock TH over the tuned X3M as i just prefer the Jeep as it fits my taste better. But my post wasn't to say in any way that i feel the BMW is a superior vehicle. Just sharing some info that was recently brought to me on the subject of the thread.

Of course, what's included in a "tune" can make a difference too..
The car is stock. with a ECU Tune. it's a Tune or "Tune" or in another vernacular "The car is stock with a tune"

I don't understand why both of your posts are insinuating that something i'm posting is false, untrue, or that i'm leaving facts out.

A friend of mine has an X3M. It's stock with a tune. It went 10.80 at 127mph on a Dragy which i posted.

It is more than just a "tune" on the X3M. It also involves increased boost, most likely to the tune of 10 psi and 150 extra whp. Something that can not be done with a supercharged TH with just a "tune". When you say tune only with the TH, it means just that, the tune is optimized for that engine and no increase in boost. So you are looking at around 60 extra whp. It isn't an apples to apples comparison.

Now, add a pulley to up the boost by 5psi and tune the TH and add 5 psi to the turbos on X3M and tune it and that would be an apples to apples comparison. So, back to stock on stock comparison we go really.

Just my 2 cents....
Any vehicle that has all stock parts other than an ECU tune is considered a tune. Of course Turbocharged, supercharged, and NA applications are going to encompass different factors when getting tuned. turbo cars can control boost and gain much more than NA cars from a tune only. This is common sense. This is standard. To argue a tune isn't really a "Tune" or say we're not comparing apples to apples or say "That's not fair because he has turbos and i have a supercharger that i can't control boost on" is some childish thinking.

Turbo cars pick up more from a stock car with a tune only. there is no arguing that. but just because an X3M picks up 150whp from a tune only because of it's layout and architecture compared to a Trackhawk picking up 60whp isn't reason to discount the fact that they both got on a dyno in 100% stock form and they both were modded with a Tune.
