And back to the original post, here's some better shots of what it looks like - I didn't realize this until mine was off and I looked at it and said "what the $!%@"? I have a hard time believing this doesn't cause a decent HP loss.

There are many modded THs out there - most are without any exhaust mods. Looking at these shots of the stock pipes and from what Ive seen others post on Instagram - it seems aftermarket upgrade is logical if time and money are less of an issue. Gains to me include sound and of course HP - just how much needed to justify it is subjective. The kooks long tubes sound good but pose quite an install challenge - requires motor drop.

I went with the American Racing Headers (ARH) cat back. Had it built without the resonators. I wanted the old school sound so went with an H pipe system instead of an X pipe. I had the Borla and later a Solo exhaust on my 2008 SRT8. The Borla had a drone that I eventually got tired of and the Solo did not have a drone but was raspy. (both X pipes)

On my 2017 SRT I installed the Kooks cat back, it does not have resonators and flowed nicely but had an X pipe and was a bit too raspy under WOT for my taste. Was very good quality.

IMO the stock Trackhawk system sounds great at start up and at idle but is raspy at WOT. I hate rasp. On the Trackhawk I went with the ARH, the S/S tubing is very thick and the H pipe makes the sound I was after. Very deep at idle & cruise and most important to me is no rasp at WOT. Impressed by the ARH muffler technology, It's a bit pricey for a cat back - $600 more than the magnaflow and $700 more than the Solo, the Kooks is about the same cost as the ARH. I did not go for the Kooks on the TH as I thought it would be quieter than stock at start up and idle and the rasp issue. The OEM TH exhaust uses the SRT dodge durango mufflers, the SRT GC mufflers are much quieter than the durango.

I took a chance getting the ARH as all the videos I could find were ARH on the 6.4 SRT motor. Im very pleased with the ARH.

Finally, exhaust sound is very subjective. In my mustang and cobra days (1989-2016) I had every possible mid pipe and cat back I could find. Magnaflow, Flowmaster, Bassani, MRT, Borla, etc LOL
What ARH cat back part number is it that you got? I can find a specific one on their website for a trackhawk, can only find an srt catback part... any ideas? I think ima go with arh after hearing you said that it’s a deep tone and no rasp. I still haven’t hear ARH catback on a trackhawk any where. But def looking for a deep/throaty sound with no drone or rasp etc. any info would be great! Thanks

I spoke with Scott at Livernois today about headers and catback set up to go with my S1025 pkg. He also recommends ARH headers and catback. Blocka and Mike c - what are your thoughts on drone in cabin for the ARH catback? Any help appreciated...

I haven’t gotten the ARH yet, waiting to hear back from mike C. But really leaning toward ARH for sure. Wish there were some sound clips out there.

Any reason other than personal preference for the ARH over the SWs? I’m pretty impressed with the SW catback and if I get headers would go for theirs as well. Unless there was some compelling data, of course.

After getting my catback on I realized the internet sound clips are about worthless. The difference in person is so much greater than what can be recorded. This is what makes me apprehensive about headers (too loud)

Sent you a pm

Solo Performance just posted clips on their Facebook page as well. It's a great kit that I have on my TH. No drone and the sound is intoxicating.

Oh sorry I read that wrong.

You have the catback or long tubes back? I want to do the long tubes 2 x 3 all the way back.

I’m just really looking for a good catback with the deeper/throaty sound with no drone or rasp. It sounds like ARH is right up my ally. I Want to do more performance and tuning one day, but don’t want to void that extended warranty.

We have a catback...if the long tubes connect to the factory catback, then our kit would work with that as well. They bolt on to the factory converters, or to anything that ends in the same place as the factory converters.

just took a look at that solo cat back. sound is pretty good, pretty unique, and the design is definitely very unique. its the same kit for srt and trackhawk correct?

About to embark on a mail order S1025 package and would love to chat with you about your experience. Care to message me your cell#? Thanks in advance/
I am also contemplating headers but I do not want too much sound intrusion. It would be nice to add 40rwhp but I am looking for someone who can give us feedback about noise and hp.
